Looking for a Technical Manager who has 3-5+ years’ hands-on experience with solar PV products – from inverters through to modules. A professional who can effectively manage and motivate a team, to fulfil their performance obligations at the highest possible standard.

The Technical Manager should be a detail-orientated problem solver who will not deviate from their quality standards, ensuring that the end client receives suitable products which are guaranteed to perform.

This role will require you to have a wealth of understanding of the solar PV/electrical industry and market trends, providing analyses to understand what strategies should be optimised and when.

You will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to the company, you will play a pivotal role in aligning delivery between cross-functional teams which affirm the brand’s overarching goals.

Our client is seen throughout the industry as a leading solar PV equipment provider and you will be required to use the firm’s established IT and data systems to ensure optimal service to their clients.

The suitable candidate will have strong project management and leadership skills, able to effectively manage and up-skill the team to ensure that all mandates are delivered on according to deadlines given. This is not a job for the fainthearted, and you will need to have assertive communication and delegation skills to be able to manage this varied team!

You will be quick on your feet, able to diagnose and solve any problem that arises using a collaborative, team-driven approach. With excellent communication and presentation skills, you will keep all managers up to date and will ensure documentation is provided and updated throughout the process of all technical projects. Additionally, these skills will be utilised when representing the company at events and functions.

Education requirements

Electrical Engineering Degree or similar

Experience requirements

• 3-5+ years working with solar PV products such as inverters, battery storage technologies as well as modules (well versed with all the big brands as well as upcoming equipment leaders)
• Proven experience managing EPC clients and installers

Responsibilities

• Understanding of the players in the Solar PV industry, from EPC’s to installers as well as working knowledge of the best product applications for client solutions.
• Technical Management function across departments ensuring sales is achieved and technical advisory is seen.
